You may or may not have heard this term before. If you have not, I would recommend that you abdicate your residence as a hermit or the "stoop" kid, and come into the real world.
I'm not writing this blog post to criticize those who have never seen this word before. In fact, I am writing this to laud Apple. Yes, I am talking about that Genius, the playlist and music recommending service of Itunes.
In the outline of Itunes 10, Genius is described as, "The Genius Mixes feature searches your iTunes library to find songs that go great together, then organizes them into mixes you’ll love. iTunes creates multiple Genius Mixes automatically. Rearrange and rename the mixes you want to keep, and delete the ones you don’t. You’ll find them all under Genius, where you can browse and play one with a click."
It is features like this that make this playlist generator awesome. Not only does it create playlists, it creates genre playlists. These are perfect for any mood, and it works even if one does not have the genres listed. It is the little nuances and technological benefits of Itunes that makes Apple so admirable.
Thank you for reading this, I know it was senseless babble, but it's still something that is interesting and innovative.
